Job Summary:

We seek an experienced General Nephrologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a member of our Division of Nephrology, you will play a key role in shaping the future of nephrology care and education.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Practice: Provide high-quality patient care in Nephrology and focused areas of interest and experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students in a dynamic academic environment.
  • Research Opportunities: Participate in clinical and administrative research projects, including performance improvement initiatives and extramurally funded investigations.
  • Collaboration and Service: Work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to achieve the objectives of Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU Health System.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
  • Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients
  • Completion of accredited fellowship in General Nephrology
  • Interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
