About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Transplant Nephrologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or eligible Nephrologist with direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients to contribute to our academic department. As a Transplant Nephrologist, you will provide excellent patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, while also participating in teaching, research, and administrative activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Education: Teach fellows, residents, and medical students using adult learning methods to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Research Opportunities: Participate in clinical and administrative research, providing mentoring and supervision of fellows and residents in research initiatives.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Provide high-quality patient care in Transplant and General Nephrology, working closely with institutional staff to achieve VCU Health's objectives.
Requirements:
  • Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
  • Direct experience in managing complex inpatients and outpatients
  • Completion of accredited fellowship in General Nephrology
  • Interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of Renal Transplant Fellowship
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a diverse team, providing effective communication and an interest in furthering research and academic missions.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000-$300,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
