Troon International is seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Blackstone Country Club in Peoria, AZ. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of high-quality pastries and desserts for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage food preparation for the pastry team, ensuring consistently high-quality products.
  • Supervise and train pastry cooks to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new pastry concepts and menus to enhance the dining experience.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to achieve budgetary objectives and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
  • Train and supervise pastry team members, including pastry sous chefs and cooks.
  • Assist in the management of department members, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from a culinary school or equivalent experience.
  • 3-6 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
  • Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes.
