Business Development Manager II

Blue Canyon Technologies, a leading small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager II to drive capture planning and management of capture campaigns for our BCT Spacecraft product line.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aerospace industry and experience in developing and executing business development strategies. They will be responsible for supporting the competitive proposal process, engaging with customers, and preparing support artifacts for proposal responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead capture and proposal campaigns in collaboration with the Business Development Team.
  • Review and evaluate RFI/RFP response requirements and assess strategy for responding to customer requests.
  • Successfully lead cross-functional proposal teams to deliver on-time, competitive proposals.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the product and engineering teams.
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for emerging and near-term contracts.
  • Support transition of new contracts with the corresponding product and functional teams to ensure smooth hand-off.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledge.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting.

This role operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
