Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Baptist Health Care. **Responsibilities:**
* Provide nursing care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
* Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients
* Implement medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for patient care
* Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure integration of information for use by the healthcare team
* Operate order communication system and enter orders on computer
* Transcribe physician orders accurately according to hospital policy and procedures
* Follow process for patient transfer and/or discharge and ensure necessary supplies and services are ordered and obtained
* Maintain current knowledge/certification/licensure and obtain IV therapy certification
* Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs of the department and organization

**Requirements:**
* Technical Diploma/Certificate in Practical Nursing required
* Certificate of Completion in IV Therapy Certification required
* Licensed Practical Nurse State of Florida or eligible compact state licensure required upon hire
* BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association certification required upon hire
* National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) within 90 days of hire required
* ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association certification within 1 year of hire required
* CPI certification within 1 year of hire required
* Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills required
* Superior multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, as well as organizational skills required

**Compensation and Benefits:**
* Estimated salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
