Behavior Intervention Specialist

The Tulare County Office of Education seeks a highly skilled Behavior Plan Support Technician to provide assistance to teachers and classroom staff in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans under the direct supervision of the school psychologist.

This role requires a strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and the ability to work effectively in a school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers and staff in the development and implementation of behavior plans, as well as providing training and support to ensure successful implementation.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Two years of experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities in a classroom setting.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, and an Associate degree or 48 semester units from an accredited college/university, or Instructional Aide Exam, or CBEST with a passing score.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates within 45 days of employment.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within Tulare County.
  • Skills to speak, read, and write another language and willingness to use this skill in the performance of the job may be required for some assignments.
