Peer Support Specialist

At RH Community Builders, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing peer-to-peer support services to clients and their family members/caregivers who receive behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide peer support and self-help services to clients and their family members/caregivers in individual or group settings.
- Assist in coordinating clinical services, provide linkage to other services and resources, and monitor, support, and empower clients and family members/caregivers.
- Assist in the development and coordination of activities, programs, and resources that support clients and family members/caregivers in achieving wellness and recovery goals.
- Provide skill training to clients and family members/caregivers on tasks related to recovery-focused independent living.
- Assist and advocate for clients and family members/caregivers as they navigate through the system of care.
Requirements:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, preferred
- Maintain State Certification/Licensure or be in the process of obtaining Certification/License
- Registered substance abuse certification
- Knowledge of basic recovery and wellness concepts and behavioral health services
