Key Responsibilities- Prepare and package non-sterile compounded pharmaceuticals
- Prepare sterile products, injections, and IV chemotherapy
- Fill automated dispensing cabinets on nursing units
- Correctly distribute and account for controlled substances usage
- Deliver medications to nursing units, including surgical rooms
- Stock medications shelves, manage inventory dating, return excess stock to inventory, and properly dispose of expired medications
- Prepare and deliver investigational drugs per research protocols
- Respond and triage telephone and electronic message inquiries
- Assist the Pharmacist with auditing controlled substance utilization
- Build various medication kits, providing support to multiple professions
- Assist with training of staff
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor to assist with preparation and delivery of patient medications
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before hire date, verifiable through the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
- Proficient communication, computer, and basic mathematical skills
- Ability to prioritize with accuracy and dependability
