We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Inventory & Yield Strategist to join our team at DIRECTV. As a key member of our digital media business, you will play a critical role in maximizing revenue and inventory utilization.
Job SummaryThis is a high-visibility position responsible for sales planning, budgeting, supporting, and forecasting areas for maximizing DIRECTV's revenue and inventory utilization. You will be part of a fast-paced environment, working closely with sales region and marketing leadership to identify issues, develop solutions to maximize revenue, and build executive support.
Responsibilities- Measure and optimize the overall health of DIRECTV's digital business, including analysis of revenue, supply, and demand, managing complex reporting projects related to sales, planning, finance, and sales channels.
- Drive inventory and yield execution planning for digital strategy implementation.
- Develop digital inventory strategies on initiatives for distributing and providing services through sales channels and/or geographic area.
- Assist in defining optimization standards, pricing, growth metrics, and benchmarks across internal and external clients.
- Analyze and distribute executive level digital reporting; highlight key benchmarks, closely monitor market trends, and progress against daily revenue targets.
- Identify new opportunities for monetization that align with marketplace demand and demonstrate DIRECTV's thought leadership in market.
- Work collaboratively with sales region and marketing leadership to identify issues, develop solutions to maximize revenue, and build executive support.
- Work closely with yield and analytics teams to optimize pricing and inventory volume through direct and programmatic platforms for the explicit purpose of maximizing revenue.
- Work closely with the System Ops team onboarding and reporting on our unified auction solution.
- Identify and investigate day-to-day revenue fluctuations, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Vet new technology platforms and capabilities to optimize; quantify revenue potential as well as risks (and how to overcome them); work with product and platforms teams to understand resource allocation against prioritized initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales and Planning on vetting new campaign/partnership opportunities by evaluating inventory availability and pricing.
- 3 - 4 years of digital media business experience (digital inventory, pricing, and planning yield), or similar field with fundamentals of the role.
- Microsoft Excel savvy is a requirement in this Excel driven role. Skills must include Excel formulas and pivot tables.
- Knowledge / experience in Freewheel MPP, Looker, Opt1.
- A self-starter who takes on and proactively betters the business as an independent thinker while also creating an environment that supports teamwork and collaboration within the department and across the organization.
- A strong capacity to learn on the job in an ever-changing digital media landscape, especially as it relates to new systems and technologies.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and writing skills. The role focuses heavily on using numbers to tell a story in a digestible manner.
- Exceptionally organized and detail oriented.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
DIRECTV offers a competitive salary range based on location and experience. The estimated annual salary for this role in the New York City area is $104,675 - $156,525.
This role requires 2 days/week in the New York City office.
