Inpatient Systems Analyst II

As a Certified Systems Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, implementing, supporting, and testing computer software and related processes. You will work closely with project and support teams to ensure the development, training, support, and evaluation of major computer applications.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain moderately complex system software utilizing established standards and departmental protocols to meet user requests and specifications.
- Evaluate user requests for special enhancements to system software and work with customers to gather specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of system software.
- Coordinate analysis of documentation and workflows in departments and design/redesign system components to support appropriate workflows.
- Assist in analyzing existing methods and developing alternatives to increase operations and production efficiency.
- Perform a needs assessment for complex workflows, customers, and/or clinical/revenue areas and analyze and document reporting needs of end users.
- Identify potential process and/or department-specific risks and assist in strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
- Develop and follow project work plans, lead project meetings, and work cooperatively with team members to coordinate assigned duties with the overall program and related projects.
- Research, document, and facilitate resolution to issues reported by end-users, test system software per checklist guidelines, and participate in the development of test scenarios.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define hardware/network requirements and to research and problem-solve technical issues.
- Present training to a variety of audiences, ensure that system documentation is current and available to the customer, and that customers are educated as to where to find it.
- Periodically assess how users are progressing with their use of system applications and assist with optimization training to further develop user proficiency, efficiency, and satisfaction.
- Lead optimization activities to ensure staff effectively use the systems.
- Responsible for ongoing on-call duties for one or more applications which generate Incidents outside of business hours and troubleshoot and resolve system issues escalated by the Help Desk.
- As needed, up to 25%, travel on site to provide support during go-live events and other work-related occasions.
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two to Four years' HealthCare IT application/technical experience: Required
- Two to Four years' applicable Epic application experience: Preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements: Preferred
- Epic Certification in area of responsibility: Required (Epic Willow Inpatient Certification required)
