Job Summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative care to patients, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, develop plans of care, and initiate appropriate interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams to manage and coordinate patient care, advocating for patients and their families to identify and resolve clinical and ethical concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to establish a relationship and promote positive health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction, and contribute to the development and implementation of protocols to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • State licensure as a Physician Assistant, and prescriptive authority in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
