Your Role:

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Controls and Model-Based Design to oversee a team of engineering professionals. This team is tasked with developing control algorithms using advanced software tools that integrate seamlessly into our product offerings. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to timelines while supporting diverse refrigeration and mobile HVAC applications. Utilizing agile methodologies, your leadership will drive sustainability initiatives within our product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of professionals skilled in refrigeration and control theory.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while mentoring and motivating team members to foster a successful work environment.
  • Collaborate with the broader controls team to synchronize Model-Based Design efforts across the organization.
  • Oversee controls architecture and agile process enhancements in partnership with the Controls Software Manager.
  • Work alongside program management to plan and execute engineering projects.
  • Develop, document, and refine control algorithms to enhance product functionality.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align on requirements and implementation strategies, ensuring optimal customer experiences.
  • Identify and document key intellectual property through innovative control algorithm development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or a related technical field) is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in controls, electronics, systems engineering, or software engineering is essential.
  • Proficiency in Model-Based Design processes and the simulation of complex systems is required.
  • Previous experience leading product development teams is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Solid understanding of control system design, including classical and advanced control theories.
  • Proven capability in controls algorithm development and documentation is required.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques and rapid prototyping systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile Software development processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of compressors, engines, or power electronics is a plus.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including international travel.

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $154,500 – 242,000. Total compensation may include a commission/incentive plan.
