Your Role:

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Controls & Model Based Design to oversee a talented group of engineering professionals. This team is tasked with the development of control algorithms utilizing Simulink and State Flow software, which are integral to our product offerings. You will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery while supporting various refrigeration and mobile HVAC applications. Our team employs agile methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of engineers specializing in refrigeration and control theory.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while mentoring and motivating team members to foster success.
  • Collaborate with the broader controls team to align Model Based Design efforts across the organization.
  • Guide the architectural activities and agile process enhancements in partnership with the Controls Software Manager.
  • Coordinate with program management and other departments to plan and execute projects efficiently.
  • Develop, document, and refine control algorithms through simulation and testing.
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure optimal implementation strategies.
  • Identify and document key intellectual property associated with innovative product functionalities.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or a related technical field).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in controls, electronics, systems engineering, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Model Based Design processes and the modeling & simulation of complex systems.
  • Experience in leading product development teams is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of control system design, including classical and advanced control methodologies.
  • Proven capability in controls algorithm development and documentation.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques and rapid prototyping systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile Software development processes is preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including international travel.

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $154,500 – 242,000. Total compensation may include additional commission or incentive plans.
