At MedSquare, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our offices, restrooms, break rooms, and general plant areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Checklist: Perform duties on a daily checklist to ensure the facilities are clean and well-maintained.
  • Snow Removal: Responsible for snow removal on sidewalks, spreading salt, etc. during winter months.
  • Trash Removal: Empty trash barrels inside the plant maintenance shop, outside entrances, and break areas.
  • Front Office Cleaning: Clean the front offices, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Sweep and mop all restrooms, ensuring they are clean and hygienic.
  • Break Room Maintenance: Clean microwaves, sweep, and mop all break rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to MedSquare's safety, environmental, and conduct policies.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and record any problems related to the facilities and quality system, and initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • General Plant Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the general plant areas.
  • Other Duties: Management may assign other duties not covered in this description. All employees are expected to carry out any reasonable assignment.
Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Must be capable of handling multiple tasks at once, lifting up to medium weight, bending, and twisting repeatedly.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Safety and Environmental Policies: Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Must be committed to ISO and Continuous Improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills are preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Industrial Exposure: Normal industrial exposure to dust and debris.
  • Seasonal Exposure: Seasonal exposure to the natural elements.
  • Noise Levels: Intermittent exposure to above-average noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Overtime: Overtime may be required.
