Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aerotek. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support to sustain continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance for the plant and assist with break downs and any other mechanical issues throughout the plant.
  • Assist in major overhauls of plant equipment and perform minor repairs to all plant equipment.
  • Work on 3 phase motors and basic cleaning and maintenance of the facilities.
  • Handle conveyors and belting for different lines, operate forklifts and fork trucks when needed, and change drive belts, timing belts, and other parts on all machinery.
  • Change filters and oils in plant equipment, change packing/mechanical seals and gaskets in all pumps, and maintain water chemistry in necessary systems.
  • Identify and replace bearings and seals as required.
  • Troubleshoot both AC and DC systems (programming not necessary).
  • Perform TIG, MIG, and arc welding on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Repair and replace vari-drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Clive, Iowa. The work environment is a true plant/assembly line, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in this type of environment. The facility is a food grade facility, and production does not take place in a chilled environment (60+ degrees). The team consists of 8 maintenance techs who work all three shifts (24/7), and the goal is to have 11 team members.

Dress Code:

Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and a hairnet are required.
