We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Medical Center. As an OR Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, allergies, and medications.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Registration with Washington State is necessary.
  • Previous scrubbing experience with a minimum of one year is necessary.
  • First time travelers are considered.
Work Environment

Our OR Tech unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with 22 operational suites and a diverse range of surgical services, including GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Neuro, and more. As an OR Tech, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and procedures, and will be expected to be flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
