Position Overview:

As a Lead Application Security Specialist, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team of security professionals tasked with shaping and implementing the security framework for our products, both on-premises and in the cloud. Your role will involve embedding security practices throughout the product lifecycle, from initial design and development to deployment and operational management. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to proactively address both current and emerging security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to promote and enhance software security initiatives.
  • Stay informed about new security vulnerabilities and conduct assessments to determine their relevance, including facilitating tabletop exercises as needed.
  • Conduct security threat modeling and design reviews to provide early-stage secure design recommendations to engineering and product teams.
  • Perform in-depth security assessments, including penetration testing and code reviews, to identify vulnerabilities and deliver essential security guidance.
  • Advance our security automation efforts by utilizing or developing security tools to scale product security operations and enhance vulnerability management.
  • Design, implement, and deploy security solutions and frameworks to safeguard cloud applications.
  • Identify and recommend additional technological controls to improve visibility and defend against key attack vectors.

Qualifications:

  • A data-driven mindset with a focus on informed decision-making.
  • Over 4 years of experience in application security.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, particularly in Web Application Security and Cloud Security.
  • Experience with various software development environments and CI/CD processes.
  • Proficiency in coding for automation and security testing (preferably in GoLang, Python, or Java).
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Proven leadership skills with the capability to influence stakeholders and drive security initiatives.
  • Self-sufficient decision-maker with the ability to manage multiple projects while adapting to changing business needs.
