As a key strategist within the Securities Division, you will be essential to our trading operations. Your responsibilities may include developing innovative derivative pricing models and empirical frameworks to enhance our understanding of market dynamics, or creating automated trading systems that benefit both the firm and its clientele. You may also engage in assessing exposures and structuring transactions tailored to client requirements, or in designing sophisticated parallel computing systems, electronic trading solutions, and advanced algorithms. Throughout the Securities Division, our strategists employ quantitative and technological methodologies to address intricate business challenges.

Our Role

THE PRIME SERVICES RISK STRATEGY TEAM

Our international team is a crucial component of the Prime Brokerage and Clearing Services sectors under the Prime Services umbrella within the Securities Division. We influence significant business decisions and manage essential systems.

Collaborating with risk managers, our team is tasked with developing and maintaining stress testing protocols across various asset classes, as well as modeling margin methodologies and calculating margin requirements. These advanced models enable us to provide a diverse array of financing solutions and risk management frameworks, assisting clients in navigating various market conditions.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE YOUR POTENTIAL

If you seek a high-impact role that allows you to leverage your robust quantitative and communication abilities, our Risk Strategy team presents an ideal opportunity.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass identifying risk factors associated with different asset classes (Equities/Credit/FX/Rates/Commodities) across various client strategies, calibrating these risk factors for integration into the risk-based margin model, developing models to quantify risk, consolidating various risk metrics into a cohesive cross-asset margin model, enhancing risk management platforms, creating tools for in-depth risk analysis, and proposing enhancements to existing models.

You will collaborate closely with prime brokerage risk managers and the global Risk Strategy team, establishing and nurturing partnerships with colleagues across the Global Markets Division. This role offers a broad scope that rewards multitasking, initiative, and effective execution. You will not only directly influence key revenue streams within the Prime Services business but also have the opportunity to identify additional revenue-generating prospects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong academic credentials in a relevant discipline - Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physical or Natural Sciences, with a solid quantitative grasp of statistics and probability.
  • Proficient programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, or a comparable language.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a global team and deliver results efficiently.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, demonstrating initiative, and showcasing commercial impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Financial Mathematics is advantageous.
  • Experience in one or more asset classes (Equities/FX/Credit/Rates/Commodities).
  • A minimum of 3 years of programming experience.
