Job Title: Architect (On-site)

The Architect (On-site) is a key member of our team, responsible for implementing complex architectural projects from design to construction. This role requires a strong understanding of building construction methods, techniques, and major model codes.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and direct coordination with engineering disciplines, including guidance on system selection.
  • Perform in-depth architectural and engineering coordination quality control checks.
  • Assist with Architect I in all responsibilities, including research, planning, design, and administration.
  • Promote sustainable design and seek marketing involvement.
  • Help shape office vision and mission.
  • Conduct performance reviews and prepare statements of probable cost.
  • Signing and sealing documents.
  • Oversee production of construction documents for multiple projects.
  • Maintain C&P standards and QC throughout projects.
  • Resolve design issues and answer questions.
  • Assist in bid process and provide full CA services.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and mentor team members.
  • Prepare and present design drawings.
  • Analyze client problems and provide problem-solving solutions.
  • Produce design, CDs, and specifications.
  • Complete scope within allotted time and budget.
  • Manage permitting process and respond to comments.
  • Manage bidding procedures and minor field assistance.
  • Research and apply applicable codes and contact AHJs.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and run kickoff meetings.
  • Makes presentations to clients and develops design solutions.
  • Resolves technical issues and answers questions.
  • Coordinate peer review and QC of documents.
  • Perform in-depth QC review of documents.

Requirements:

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, handle stressful situations, and multi-task. Long hours may be required. Overtime (40+ hours) may be required as needed.

Must be able to handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, and working within reasonable time constraints to meet production schedules and budgets. Will work in a normal office environment and may also be required to work outside of a normal office from time-to-time.
