Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Representative to join our team. As a key member of our patient relations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate personnel, taking messages and sending tasks as necessary.
  • Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments as patients call in.
  • Work on referrals and import demographics from the patient portal.
  • Pick up voicemail messages on a daily basis.
  • Verify patients' health plan benefits and obtain authorization, if needed.
  • Assist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures.
  • Request medical records from doctors and hospitals.
  • Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization, if necessary.
  • Obtain lab results, including stat requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A high school degree or GED is required for this position.
  • One year of experience in customer service and/or a related clinical environment, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • The ability to work between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
  • Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Sitting - 100%.
  • Computer (input patient info).
  • Telephone usage (speaking with patients or referral physicians).
