About the Role:

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team in Charlottesville. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing and documenting system designs for technically sophisticated facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document system designs from concept plans and technical design criteria.
  • Interpret and utilize information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
  • Exercise independent judgment to develop and document system designs.

Qualifications:

  • BSAE or BSME required.
  • 3+ years' experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
  • PE License or ability to become licensed.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
