Job Summary:

The Electrical Systems Designer is responsible for planning and designing electrical systems for construction projects that meet customer needs in a value-added manner. This includes developing standards and procedures, as well as evaluating electrical matters in the field of commercial construction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must possess an Electrical P.E. in VA; Licensed Electrical P.E. in both VA and NC a plus
  • At least 5 years of construction experience with working knowledge of the electrical trade and familiarity with general construction procedures and practices
  • Great computational and spatial ability while maintaining attention to detail
  • Advanced working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics and principles
  • Exceptional computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with a teamwork mentality
