Position Overview

The role of the Pharmacy Operations Manager is pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer experience by implementing the Customer 1st strategy. This position is responsible for motivating associates to provide outstanding customer service while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will:

  • Drive Sales and Profitability: Meet the sales and profit objectives set for the pharmacy department while managing quality assurance standards and operational expenses.
  • Staff Management: Schedule and oversee technicians to align with business needs effectively.
  • Department Oversight: Monitor all departmental functions, duties, and activities to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Core Values Promotion: Uphold the company's values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
  • Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic mathematical proficiency (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
  • Commitment to fulfilling customer prescription needs with a focus on accuracy
  • Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in accordance with pharmacy standards
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the trade area, its customers, and competitors
  • Foster a positive image of the pharmacy department through excellent service and cooperation
  • Oversee inventory management, record keeping, and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure proper handling and security of scheduled drugs
  • Utilize accuracy tools effectively to maintain high standards
  • Establish and maintain necessary record-keeping practices for legal compliance
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • Handle product returns in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain all pharmacy equipment in good working condition
  • Organize policy manuals and ensure staff familiarity with their use
  • Ensure proper signage is displayed in all necessary areas
  • Continuously seek to enhance personal knowledge and pharmacy skills
  • Be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
