Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Body Shop Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for examining damaged vehicles and efficiently planning the repair process. You will work with others to communicate the status of vehicle repairs and perform quality repairs while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Examine damaged vehicles and plan the repair process efficiently.
  • Work with others to communicate the status of vehicle repairs.
  • Perform quality repairs while meeting deadlines.
  • Make decisions on repair vs. replace, considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicles and fenders.
  • Participate in all required safety meetings.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
  • Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use a frame machine.
  • Certification in body repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
  • I-CAR welding certified.
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
  • Ability to supervise repair personnel.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check.
