**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures with the utmost quality, identifying advanced anatomy, and assisting doctors with invasive procedures.
**Responsibilities**
* Perform ultrasound procedures as requested by physicians
* Identify advanced anatomy and assist doctors with invasive procedures
* Provide care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist
* Work side by side with Radiologists, doctors, and surgeons
* Anticipate the needs of the Radiologist during procedures
* Take call and respond to work to help critical patients during off-hours
**Requirements**
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program required
* A.R.D.M.S. certification and New Mexico State license in Ultrasound required
* Registration in abdomen and OB/GYN preferred
* OB/GYN certification required within the first 12 months of hire
* BLS certification required within 1 month of hire
**Work Environment**
* Exposure to various body fluids
* Bloodborne pathogen C
* Lifts, transfers, and positions patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs
