Job Description

At Mustang Special Utility District, we are seeking a highly skilled Development Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Development Services Manager and the broader development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and organize project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and project timelines for the development team, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and meeting logistics are effectively managed.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding project updates, requirements, and deadlines, while facilitating communication between the development team and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and collaboration.
  • Compile data, create charts, and ensure the professional and accurate presentation of information, including conducting preliminary data analysis for senior management review.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to development projects, updating records to reflect compliance status, addressing identified issues promptly, and staying informed about regulatory changes to ensure team compliance.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for foundational skills in communication, basic office management, and administrative tasks.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, or a related field, including managing documentation, scheduling, and customer service responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing project and administrative data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve project coordination and administrative processes issues.
  • Experience with database management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
Working Conditions:

The work environment is primarily conducted in an office setting, involving long periods of sitting and using computer equipment. The environment is typically quiet and conducive to focused work. Team collaboration is frequent, requiring effective interpersonal communication and teamwork.

This is a non-exempt position under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to the organization's policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours.
