Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging exercise programs to enhance patient mobility and function.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients, family members, and caregivers on physical therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists to set and achieve patient goals, identifying areas of progress and challenge.
  • Assist with direct patient care, adhering to individualized plans of care and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and exam rooms, adhering to proper sterilization and safety protocols.
  • Review patient files prior to appointments, ensuring a clear understanding of the patient's needs and challenges.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills within the field.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Associate degree in physical therapy or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and patient privacy laws.
  • Experience working with sensitive patient information and records.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work primarily in a standing position, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, family members, and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and accountability when handling and documenting patient information.
