About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UX Product Designer to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Guest Experience team, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class digital shopping experiences for our guests by leveraging and developing frameworks for UX sprints and delivering functional proof of concepts and in-market launches in partnership with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and contribute to UX strategy and vision for product experiences across digital platforms, influencing investment, collaborations, and the balance of new vs. iteration.
  • Lead UX sprints for discovery, co-creation, future-visioning, and functional proof of concept delivery for emerging experiences in partnership with product, engineering, and other cross-functional peers and leaders.
  • Investigate new opportunities using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Deliver artifacts leveraging design strategy and service design methods, such as journey maps, service design blueprints, and storyboards.
  • Align internal stakeholders, accelerate experimentation, and enable us to innovate more rapidly while scaling UX learnings and best-practices across teams.
  • Create deliverables representative of both exploratory and go-to-market design phases, such as wireframes, user flows, UI design, and prototypes.
  • Guide design process and mentor junior designers.
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and service design.
  • Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams.
  • Build a network of relationships to enable your vision in service of our guest experience and Target as a whole.
About You
  • 7+ years experience as a senior or lead product designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful product and service design work.
  • You thrive at the intersection of design strategy, scaled solutions, and craft.
  • Expert skills in UX, product, and service design, as well as structuring and planning work, and owning the design process.
  • Advanced expertise in design strategy and service design methods, such as co-creation sprints.
  • Advanced proficiency in product design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
  • Advanced strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach.
  • You balance the need for near-term solutions and long-term vision.
  • You are an expert in communicating how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset.
