Job OverviewSupervisor: Foreman

Position Summary: Operates a heavy-duty diesel truck equipped with a trailer for transporting substantial machinery and equipment.

Licenses and Certifications: Class A Commercial Driver's License (minimum required)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate engine operations, manipulate throttles, switches, and levers, and engage pedals to control machinery.
  • Occasionally required to handle heavy machinery for loading or unloading operations.
  • Implement measures to mitigate potential hazards and obstacles, including utility lines, other machinery, personnel, and falling debris.
  • May perform maintenance and necessary adjustments to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Adjust equipment as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in English for effective written and verbal communication.
  • Adept at recognizing and interpreting road signage.

Safety Protocols: The individual in this role must be well-versed in and adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures as outlined in the safety manual.

Education: Less than High School Diploma

Experience: Preferred three or more years of relevant construction experience.

Physical Demands: Engages in heavy physical activity, performing strenuous tasks of a primarily productive or technical nature.

Manual Dexterity: Requires sufficient manual dexterity to reach and handle items and work with fingers, along with the ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.

Work Environment: Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying weather (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.). The work environment may involve extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high or precarious locations. The noise level is typically loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
