We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Repairman to join our team at the Department of Human Services. As a Maintenance Repairman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, and general renovations.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and replace roofs, construct forms and frames, install partitions, and repair or replace doors and ceilings.
- Pour concrete, hang, prepare, and sand drywall, and build various wooden shelves, furniture, and mailbox slots.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, or varnishing using tools such as sandpaper, scrapers, caulk, heat guns, and liquid strippers.
- Apply appropriate primers and other paint finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces.
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1, or four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
- Full-time employment with a competitive salary.
