The Construction Project Coordinator will manage project operations at the regional office or job site, ensuring successful project completion by effectively planning, scheduling, and executing project activities throughout all phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Actively engage in safety plans and measures for assigned projects.
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
- Review contract details, scope of work, and special provisions, ensuring project team members are informed.
- Obtain material, subcontractor, and engineering quotes from multiple vendors.
- Assist in vendor selection and coordinate materials and equipment logistics.
- Verify quantities and hours during the reverse takeoff process.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings.
- Maintain a clear understanding of building systems and their relation to the construction process.
- Develop and coordinate construction project schedules.
- Foster positive customer relations and actively participate in the Customer Alignment Plan.
- Support and visit assigned job sites, participating in job meetings as necessary.
- Conduct quantitative takeoffs to validate estimates, order materials, and manage change orders.
- Update budgets promptly based on change requests.
- Prepare, review, and report weekly production metrics.
- Collaborate with the project Foreman and team to review weekly job cost reports.
- Prepare billing and approve invoices for payment.
- Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Metal Stud Framing and Drywall Management.
- Proven experience in estimating, project management, and managing specialized construction scopes.
- Ability to identify critical project areas impacting profitability and navigate risks effectively.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications and drawings.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Windows, Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and QuickBid.
- Familiarity with critical path method scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Capacity to multitask, think critically, and solve problems.
- Willingness to learn new skills and engage in technical aspects of the job.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on assignments.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, along with interpreting construction-related documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- OSHA Certification.
- Local candidates preferred.
