**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to join our team at Ausland Group. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our project managers and field staff in technical tasks associated with projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in project setup, including administrative tasks and preconstruction meetings.
  • Study and understand documentation changes to construction documents.
  • Administer material, product, and equipment information to facilitate construction.
  • Create and maintain CPM project schedules.
  • Assist in preparing and administering QA/QC requirements, including submittals and shop drawings.
  • Produce information required for field crews to work efficiently.
  • Interpret construction documents and resolve ambiguities or missing information.
  • Research and recommend resolutions to problems, conflicts, and errors in construction documents.
  • Prepare drawings and sketches to facilitate trade coordination and resolve conflicts.
  • Assist with procurement, administration, and contracting of materials and specialty contractors.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of project information and electronic data.
  • Create meeting agendas and minutes as required.
  • Perform take-off and light estimating tasks assigned by the project manager.
  • Prepare change orders.
  • Lead project closeout tasks assigned.

**Requirements**

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging team environment.
  • Proficiency with typical industry software, such as Procore, Primavera, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to type/key a minimum of thirty (30) words per minute.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

**Physical Requirements**

  • Ability to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
  • Sitting or driving in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s).
  • Ability to see within normal parameters.
  • Ability to hear within normal range.
  • Ability to move about a construction site, including climbing ladders and scaffold, and walking over uneven terrain.
