Job Summary and QualificationsWe are looking for a Cardiovascular Technician II to become part of our team. In this role, you will assist with cardiac catheterization as well as vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will also perform emergency interventions related to catheterization procedures, such as IAB and temporary pacer insertion, under the guidance of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or invasive radiologist. We are a supportive team seeking a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating accountability in identifying potential and actual patient issues, collecting precise data, and participating in the patient's care in accordance with departmental standards.
- Prioritizing resources for patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.
- Exhibiting knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, including specific conditions and treatment therapies relevant to our patient populations.
- Demonstrating competency in performing Cath lab procedures.
- Assisting in data collection related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, and peripheral vascular status, documenting findings, and reporting any abnormal results to the physician.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program and/or possess RCIS Certification and/or ARRT IR.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a licensed field, with at least one year in a cardiac cath lab.
- LPN with one year of experience and completion of a Critical Care course within one year of hire, or one year of Cath Lab experience, or one year of RCIS or CVT, or graduate of an accredited RCVT program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Strong critical thinking skills, service excellence, and effective interpersonal communication abilities.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
- Vocational School Graduate.
