Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Saputo. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and operator information to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery to maintain optimal performance.
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs, and reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear, and troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment, and operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor, and complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, work orders, and task records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, and utility experience.
  • 1-2 years prior industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills, and experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics a plus.
  • SAP experience desired.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated work history.
