About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Saputo. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose equipment problems
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs
  • Examine parts for defects and observe the operation of machinery to diagnose malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain industrial production and processing machinery and equipment
  • Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
  • Operate and support industrial, refrigeration, boiler, and utility operations
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment
  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, work orders, and task records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, and utility experience
  • 1-2 years prior industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment
  • Strong electrical background in addition to mechanical skills
  • Experience with computerized or automated controls and ability to read electric schematics a plus
  • SAP experience desired
