Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Penrose Hospital. As a key member of our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our nursing staff to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate clinical and department activities for the unit, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between physicians and the patient care team.
  • Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Provide input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring, and performance management of associates.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
Requirements
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire or within 8 weeks of hire.
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
  • NIHSS required upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC or TCAR required upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
  • Must have at least one year recent RN ICU experience required.
