Job Summary

The Housekeeping Operations Manager will be responsible for leading our housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and train staff to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Daily Housekeeping Operations
    • Oversee the daily tasks of the housekeeping department, including cleaning guest rooms and public areas
    • Track areas cleaned by room attendants and contact the front office to handle room damage or maintenance needs
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Adhere to the department budget, oversee inventory, and order cleaning supplies
  • Staff Management
    • Handle the hiring and training of housekeeping staff to ensure they meet and exceed our standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs as needed

Requirements

  • Leadership and Communication Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and train staff
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Over 2 years of experience in guest services or hospitality
    • Over 3 years of experience as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping manager, or similar
    • Strong understanding of environmental services (EVS) including cleaning processes and how to use a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment
    • This position requires a high school diploma or GED
