About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Pick N Save. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly and accurately, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, and SNAP EBT.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, including cash handling and loss prevention.
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads, and promote sales and promotions to customers.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, and maintain a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notifying store management.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle cash and make change accurately.
