Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Resource Management & Professional Development Team as a Professional Development Practitioner. This role will focus on developing and providing services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of staff.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deliver, and assess learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
- Create a supportive environment for nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
- Serve as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements as they relate to nursing.
- At least 3 years of recent Med/Surg, Critical Care, or similar higher level acuity clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of adult learning principles.
