Job Summary

The Lifeguard - Aquatic Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in aquatic environments. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise aquatic areas to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for swimmers
  • Assist swimmers in need and respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner
  • Perform first aid and complete incident reports as necessary
  • Communicate policies and guidelines to swimmers and staff
  • Attend regular training sessions to maintain and improve skills
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 15
  • Current nationally accredited lifeguard certification
  • Current BLS and First Aid certifications
  • Certification in Oxygen Administration within 45 days of hire
  • Ability to physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
Work Environment

The Lifeguard - Aquatic Safety Specialist will work in a variety of aquatic environments, including pools and water parks. The role requires the ability to work in a warm environment with air temperatures of 80 degrees or higher, and to remain alert with no lapses of consciousness.
