Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health's Psychiatry Division is seeking a Senior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our esteemed team at Hampstead Facility, a state-accredited center dedicated to the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults.

In this pivotal role, you will deliver advanced psychiatric and substance use disorder care, working alongside a skilled team of nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Our mission is to provide outstanding care, educate future practitioners, and enhance our understanding of effective treatments for this vulnerable population.

Hampstead Facility is a recognized specialty center in New Hampshire, focusing on acute psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for youth. We offer tailored behavioral programs that address both cognitive and psychiatric needs. Our two primary treatment programs, the Acute Psychiatric Unit and the Intensive Behavioral Unit, cater to over 40 young individuals. Our comprehensive services include a 15-bed Inpatient Unit, Partial Hospitalization programs, and a 12-bed Residential Treatment Facility.

Set on 100 acres of scenic landscapes in southern New Hampshire, Hampstead Facility provides an ideal environment for healing and recovery. We are conveniently located near major highways, ensuring accessibility for all.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership and management skills preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the clinical proficiency of Associate Providers to align with current care standards.
  2. Collaborate with the Section Chief/Medical Director to address professional and patient care matters.
  3. Lead the Associate Provider team in partnership with the Section Chief/Medical Director and other healthcare professionals.
  4. Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and credentialing requirements.
  5. Support clinical, research, quality improvement, and educational initiatives within the Associate Provider group.
  6. Facilitate the assessment and evaluation of Associate Provider performance outcomes.
  7. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures among Associate Providers.
  8. Participate in departmental meetings and leadership discussions relevant to Associate Providers.
  9. Collaborate with leadership in budget planning and review related to Associate Providers.
  10. Monitor staffing patterns to guarantee adequate clinical coverage.
  11. Assume responsibility for staffing decisions, performance evaluations, and recruitment of Associate Providers.
  12. Coordinate educational experiences for student Associate Providers.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Licensure/Certifications
  • Current APRN or PA-C licensure in New Hampshire.
  • National certification from an accredited certifying body.
  • Maintain additional certifications as per departmental requirements.
