Position Overview

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Trinity Health, you will provide essential primary care services to our pediatric patients in accordance with established medical protocols. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct pediatric care in an outpatient environment, with opportunities to participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
  • Educate patients and their families about medications and treatment plans, emphasizing health promotion and illness prevention. Recommend suitable community resources to address patient and family needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and social service professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Consult with the medical director as required and comply with established medical protocols.
  • Respond to emergency calls after hours and on weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an NLN accredited MSN Nurse Practitioner program specializing in Pediatrics.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of a certified Nurse Practitioner program with a minimum of three years of NP experience.
  • Current Georgia RN license is mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
