At DaVita, we are in search of a Patient Account Coordinator. Successful candidates in this position are driven, results-oriented, and adept at innovative thinking. In this role, you will cultivate and sustain relationships with insurance providers. Representing DaVita, you will be responsible for collecting payments from insurance companies for outstanding patient balances, investigating and resolving account discrepancies as necessary, and optimizing collections to meet performance targets.

Individuals in this position will collaborate with insurance payers to investigate and resolve accounts on behalf of our esteemed patients. While much of the research and resolution occurs via phone, communication is also conducted through email and insurance carrier portals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends and conduct root cause analysis on unpaid and underpaid claims.
  • Investigate, appeal, and resolve claim rejections, underpayments, and denials with the relevant insurance payor.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with clinical staff, colleagues, and insurance representatives.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • Strong research and problem-solving abilities, utilizing analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in healthcare and medical billing/collections is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex issues.
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
