Position Overview:
Jefferson Wells is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to enhance our Finance Department. The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication abilities that will integrate effectively within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
This role will provide analytical and technical support for ongoing business activities, focusing on financial forecasting, reporting, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.

Essential Duties:
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, including profitability analysis assessments, journal entries, and the preparation of standard reports.
  • Analyze month-end freight results and assess variances against forecasts.
  • Compile and prepare monthly financial reports for senior management, including actual and forecasted data, and conduct P&L variance analysis by business segment.
  • Act as a primary user for the SAP PA module, collaborating with the FP&A Manager to run and set up assessments, maintain reporting structures, and realign data for management reporting.
  • Provide analytical support to Sales & Marketing by preparing and maintaining product and customer P&L statements and supplying financial data for the sales portal.
  • Support the FP&A Manager on various projects, including the preparation of Financial Plans & Forecasts, analysis of Business Initiatives, and product benchmarking.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance reporting and system processes, ensuring all activities are streamlined, automated, and accurate.
  • Serve as a backup for cost accounting, requiring a solid understanding of product costing, standard cost estimates, and necessary monthly reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in data warehouse management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational capabilities.
  • Knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in a financial analyst role is required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is necessary.
