This includes ensuring the proper storage and handling of china, glass, and silverware, as well as assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and storage areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of china, glass, and silverware.
  • Store clean china, glass, and silverware in designated areas, taking care to minimize breakage.
  • Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to proper procedures, and store them in their designated locations.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and food and beverage areas.
  • Empty garbage from the food and beverage areas into the hotel dumpster.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the back dock and dumpster area.
  • Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field are preferred.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
