Job Summary

The Development Officer is a key member of the LCMC Health team, responsible for raising funds to support the organization's mission. This role involves identifying, soliciting, and stewarding a targeted portfolio of mid-level and major gift prospects, as well as developing a base of philanthropic support for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development: Cultivate relationships with individual and organizational fundraising, focusing on retention, recapture, and growth. Manage an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to discover donor potential and meet minimum annual fundraising goals.
  • Engagement Opportunities: Develop and maintain professional relationships with all donors, ensuring optimal usage of fundraising software and monitoring the gift cycle for all development activities.
  • Relationships and Support: Maintain ongoing relationship cultivation activities with major prospects and identify new prospective donors.
Requirements
  • 3 years of direct fundraising or related experience in raising mid-level and/or major gifts for nonprofits, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated success in growing and managing an annual fund, mid-level or major gifts portfolio to meet assigned goals and objectives.
  • Proven ability to work with hospital leadership and colleagues to identify and qualify prospective donors, make discovery visits, and build a pipeline of potential support.
