Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to conduct onsite surveys and inspections at acute care facilities. As a Medical Facilities Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating the delivery of healthcare services and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct onsite surveys and inspections at acute care facilities to evaluate healthcare services and ensure compliance with regulations

Interpret federal and state laws and regulations to determine compliance

Prepare written survey and inspection reports

Travel throughout Virginia with overnight stays, using personal vehicle until a state car can be assigned

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse with sufficient clinical experience to evaluate healthcare services

Ability to communicate detailed information orally and in writing

Strong organizational skills to plan and execute a travel schedule

Basic computer skills with knowledge of word processing and email programs

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience conducting state/federal healthcare facility surveys and inspections
