Aegion is seeking a skilled Corrosion Engineer with AMPP / NACE CP certification to join our team. As a leader in corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and monitoring services, we focus on the preservation and protection of critical infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and assess cathodic protection systems and other corrosion mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct field tests to collect data for thorough evaluations.
  • Oversee construction processes to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Perform post-installation assessments, including interference testing and rectifier system activation.
  • Organize and analyze data, preparing detailed charts and tables.
  • Compile field data for final client reports, including service recommendations.
  • Diagnose system issues and propose effective solutions during resurvey operations.
  • Advise senior personnel on necessary modifications and assist in preparing survey and design documentation.
  • Support senior staff in determining requirements and designing effective corrosion control measures.
  • Maintain field testing equipment, ensuring optimal operational condition and performing minor repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Materials preferred).
  • EIT certification is preferred.
  • AMPP / NACE CP Tester or Technician Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in corrosion engineering.
  • Strong teamwork and internal customer service skills are essential.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required.
