Position Overview

Aegion is seeking a Corrosion Engineer with AMPP / NACE CP certification to join our dedicated team. We specialize in corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and monitoring services aimed at safeguarding and maintaining critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and assess cathodic protection systems and other corrosion mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct field tests to collect data for comprehensive evaluations.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Perform post-installation assessments, including interference testing and rectifier system activation.
  • Organize and analyze collected data, preparing charts and tables for reporting.
  • Compile field data to generate final client reports, including service recommendations.
  • Identify and propose solutions for system issues encountered during resurvey operations.
  • Advise senior personnel on necessary modifications for system improvements.
  • Assist senior staff in preparing survey and design documentation as well as final reports.
  • Support senior staff in evaluating requirements and designing effective corrosion control measures.
  • Maintain field testing equipment, ensuring optimal operational condition and performing minor repairs as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, or Materials preferred).
  • EIT certification is preferred.
  • AMPP / NACE CP Tester or Technician Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in corrosion engineering.
  • Strong teamwork and internal customer service skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required.
