Job Summary

HP Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Labor Category Manager to lead our labor category procurement efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the organization's vision, leading cross-functional teams, and conducting comprehensive data and industry analysis to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a complex supply chain category and assume responsibility for the development and execution of sourcing strategies that contribute to the achievement of strategic vision and goals.
  • Conduct complex data and industry analysis, including costs analysis, competitive analysis, etc., and report results to business executives to aid in data-driven decision making.
  • Lead a complex, international, cross-functional team to develop procurement strategies and roadmaps that align with business growth objectives, cost reduction targets, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and utilize supply chain, business, and financial modeling tools, and drive supply base optimization for complex categories.
  • Liaise with stakeholder business executives to discuss impact of supply chain strategic development on overall business and to develop forward-thinking supply chain strategies.
  • Influence the industry or marketplace for complex categories and engage with market leaders.
  • Lead complex supplier selection activities, negotiate acceptable contracting outcomes using custom solutions, and complete contracts with highly complex and critical suppliers.
  • Support the senior management in demand and supply matching activities, connecting strategy to execution and identifying issues and their impact.
  • Hold responsibility for day-to-day operations of the most complex, long-term suppliers, and partners with them in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building.
  • Identify complex or emerging contract risk areas using cause and effect thinking, advise executive level business leaders on all contract risk areas, and develop strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operations improvement.
Education & Experience Recommended
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 12+ years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
